Get Connected

You might have heard your student talk about our Heights school-wide theme for this year or this may be the first time you’ve heard of Get Connected. Either way, we’d like to fill you in on some of the details about this exciting program. The goal of Get Connected is to bring our Heights community--all students, staff, and parents-- together as a cohesive group focused on learning and developing our students in to productive community members. Get Connected is a theme that runs throughout all that we do here at Heights.

Each day Dr. Mosher begins the day with a Get Connected Quote for the day and challenges the students and staff by saying, “So it’s up to you. How will you Get Connected today?” We began our year with a pep rally where our Leaders in Training students planned and delivered an excellent assembly explaining the program and the ConnecTraits. ConnecTraits are the three pillars of our theme. They are Respect, Responsibility, and Service. All students and staff have signed a graffiti wall saying iPledge to Get Connected with Pattonville Heights. To do this, I will be respectful, responsible, and reach out to others in service.

Throughout the year, you will see aspects of the Get Connected theme present in all areas of our school. Our Renaissance program with the help of Leaders in Training (LIT) is using the theme as they plan spirit activities, tournaments, dances, and other great student activities. Our new Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) program called Pirate Pride is based around our ConnecTraits and other positive traits we want our students to display. Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is Getting Connected as they volunteer and support our student activities. Even the Heights Staff is using this theme as we continue our professional development and strive to make connections with each and every student we work with.

Our goal is to make Pattonville Heights a positive, fun place to learn and work. With this new way of thinking, we will reach even greater Heights!
