The Pattonville School District has been awarded a 2021 Top Workplace honor by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The district was ranked No. 11 among the Top 15 large employers in the St. Louis area (employers with 500 or more employees). This is the seventh year in a row Pattonville has earned Top Workplace recognition, and no other school district was ranked higher on the list than Pattonville.
Only 151 businesses and organizations received recognition this year. The Top Workplaces list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey measures 15 drivers of engaged cultures that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution and connection.

Missouri families who have children who qualified for free or reduced price meals can once more apply for Pandemic-Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) benefits to help cover food costs they experienced while their student was not doing in-seat learning due to the pandemic. However, the P-EBT 2020-2021 program is very different from last year’s program. Here are highlights of those changes:
Children ages 18 and under can access free summer meals through Pattonville’s participation in the federal Seamless Summer Program. Offered through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the program is designed to ensure students have access to meals during the summer when school is not in session.
Meals will be available from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. weekdays at Drummond Elementary School. The curbside pickup meal will include a hot lunch for the current day and breakfast for the following day. Students in the elementary summer school program at Drummond will also receive a free lunch.
No reservations are necessary for the curbside pickup. For more information, contact the food services department at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or (314) 213-8054.
Pattonville hosted an online presentation with infectious disease expert Dr. Jason Newland on May 18. During the event, Newland provided an update on COVID-19 and the results of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) program that included the Pattonville school community in studying COVID-19 transmission and mitigation strategies in schools.
As mentioned in the presentation, Pattonville is partnering with the CDC, St. Louis University and Washington University to offer free COVID-19 testing for the Pattonville community. Tests are saliva-based and do not require nasal swabbing. Testing will be conducted from the patient's car and is available Sundays through Fridays. Results are typically available in 24 to 48 hours. To request a test, call (314) 454-4269.
